RandPunkt Journal

About RandPunkt Journal

RandPunkt Journal is an open access, peer-reviewed scientific journal of mathematics, dedicated to the publication of original, high-quality research in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. The journal is completely free of charge for both authors and readers — there are no submission fees, no review fees, and no publication fees (no APC).

RandPunkt Journal was founded to provide the mathematical community with a high-quality, fully free venue for publication. We believe that mathematical knowledge should be accessible to everyone, without economic barriers, and that authors should not have to choose between publishing in a reputable venue and paying expensive publication fees.

Scope

We welcome contributions in all areas of pure and applied mathematics, including algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, probability, statistics, discrete mathematics, applied mathematics, and computational mathematics.

Publication Frequency

RandPunkt Journal is published monthly. Each issue contains the articles accepted during the corresponding month. All articles are published online as soon as they are accepted and formatted.

Languages

Manuscripts are accepted for review in Spanish and English. However, all accepted articles are published in English, regardless of the language in which they were originally submitted.

Authors writing in Spanish will receive, at no cost to them, professional proofreading and translation into English before publication. The translated version will be shared with the corresponding author for final approval prior to publication.

Manuscript Format

We accept manuscripts prepared in both LaTeX and Microsoft Word (.docx). Authors using LaTeX must use our official template, which ensures that the manuscript follows the journal's style:

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors will receive a decision letter with the editorial decision and, where applicable, suggestions for improvement.

Preprints on arXiv

RandPunkt Journal strongly encourages authors to deposit a preprint version of their manuscript on arXiv before or during submission. This is standard practice in the mathematical community and does not constitute prior publication. Posting a preprint increases the visibility and early citability of your work.

Please note that arXiv has specific endorsement requirements for new submitters to the Mathematics section. If you have not submitted to arXiv Mathematics before, you may need a personal endorsement from an established arXiv author (for example, your doctoral advisor or a senior colleague). This endorsement is a formality and does not constitute peer review.

Once your article is accepted and published in RandPunkt Journal with a permanent DOI, we encourage you to update your arXiv preprint to include a reference to the published version. This creates a transparent link between the preprint and the final published article.

Publication and Indexing

Every accepted article is deposited in Zenodo with a permanent DOI, ensuring its citability and long-term preservation. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Copyright

Authors retain the copyright of their works. By publishing in RandPunkt Journal, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the article and deposit it in open access repositories.

Publication Ethics

RandPunkt Journal is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Our full policy on authorship, conflicts of interest, use of generative AI, corrections, and retractions is available here:
